KEY Animal Care Fund, Inc is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to improving animal welfare in our community. KEY Animal Care Fund, Inc. provides supportive care to animals in times of extreme hardship, with the goal of keeping the human-animal bond intact.
Dr. Karl E. Yurko is the owner of K.E.Y. Animal Hospital. Dr. Yurko's interest in veterinary medicine began in the 1980's under the guidance and friendship of Dr. H.E. Kidder while completing his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University. He attended the University of Georgia where he obtained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Highlights of his senior year included honors and awards in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Yurko started practicing in Morgantown, WV, in a small animal hospital. He then moved to Wheeling, WV, where he practiced for seven years before opening K.E.Y. Animal Hospital, Inc. in the spring of 2001.
Dr. Yurko is known for his extraordinary Orthopedic, Cruciate Ligament Rupture Repair, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgeries.
Dr. Yurko is licensed to practice in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Montana and Georgia.
Dr. Yurko is a Master Mason at Wheeling Lodge # 5.
Dr. Yurko is also a Noble at The Osiris Shrine of Wheeling.
